AALAM Applauds the Supreme Court's Decision in Maslenjak v. U.S.

AALAM applauds the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Maslenjak v. U.S. which protects immigrant communities and civil rights.  AALAM had joined the amicus brief filed by Asian Americans Advancing Justice (AAJC) and the National Association of Latino Elected Officials (NALEO) to express concern with the government’s ability to criminally prosecute naturalized citizens for making minor, immaterial misstatements in the immigration and naturalization process.  AALAM sincerely thanks and congratulates the entire amicus team for their deft, hard work in achieving this result.  Here is a link to AAJC's amicus brief and press release on the Supreme Court's decision.
