Burns & Levinson LLP is seeking a mid-level patent prosecution associate, patent agent, or technical specialist to join our growing Intellectual Property Group in the firm’s Boston office.
Qualified candidates must have a Ph.D. in organic chemistry and 3-5 years of patent prosecution experience, preferably in a law firm setting. Experience preparing patent applications directed to diagnostic and therapeutic small molecules, per se, and immunotherapies involving chemical components is a plus. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on a multi-disciplinary team and to provide quality and timely work product. USPTO registration and state bar admittance is preferred. Candidates must be proficient using CHEMDRAW and in conducting patentability analyses including structure-based searching.
