Pathways to the Bench: Becoming a Judge as a Woman of Color

The Massachusetts Black Women Attorneys (MBWA) and South Asian Bar Association of Greater Boston (SABA GB) will be co-hosting a virtual panel event entitled "Pathways to the Bench: Becoming a Judge as a Woman of Color".

The event will feature prominent women of color in the Commonwealth currently holding judicial positions or involved in the judicial nominating process, including moderator Judge Tejal Mehta of the Concord District Court, and panelists Judge Catherine Ham of the Boston Municipal Court, Judge Angel Kelley Brown of the Massachusetts Superior Court, and Lauren Greene Petrigno, Executive Director of the Judicial Nominating Commission. The panelists will speak to their own career paths and unique experiences as women on and off the bench, and will provide helpful insight to women of color in the local legal community interested in pursuing judicial positions.
