In adapting to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Equal Justice Coalition (EJC) has converted its annual Walk to the Hill into “Talk to the Hill.” A compact web broadcast and subsequent breakout room session will provide a renewed call for State financial support of civil legal aid in Massachusetts.

Hundreds of legal professionals will gather to hear remarks from the following invited speakers:

Attorney General Maura Healey

Supreme Judicial Court Chief Justice Kimberly Budd

President of the Massachusetts Bar Association Denise I. Murphy, Esq.

President of the Boston Bar Association Martin F. Murphy, Esq.

President and CEO of the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers Michael Curry, Esq.,

Executive Director of the Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation Lynne M. Parker, Esq.

Executive Director of Greater Boston Legal Services Jacquelynne J. Bowman, Esq.

Equal Justice Coalition Chair Louis Tompros, Esq.

The Equal Justice Coalition advocates for expanded access to civil legal aid for low- income Massachusetts residents. The Coalition includes bar associations, law firms, law schools, legal aid organizations, and social service agencies who work together to protect and increase the state appropriation for civil legal aid (budget line item 0321- 1600, Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation).
