  • Monday, March 04, 2019
  • 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Boston Bar Association, 16 Beacon Street, Boston, MA

AALAM is excited to co-sponsor with the BBA’s Diversity & Inclusion Section a panel discussion entitled:  “On to the Next: Demystifying Career Transitions as a Diverse Attorney in Boston” which will take place at the Boston Bar Association on March 4, 2019, from 6-7:30pm, with a reception to follow.

The purpose of the program is to shed light on the difficult (and often obscure) process of leaving your first, second, or even fifth job as a lawyer and transitioning into the next stage.  The panel discussion will feature a group of prominent and diverse lawyers who are enthusiastic about sharing their experiences transitioning from or into big law firms, legal aid organizations, in-house departments, government agencies, academia, policy work, and public office. See below for a list of confirmed panelists and moderator.

Moderator:

·         Kelsea Médard, BU School of Law

Panelists:

·         Lydia Edwards, Boston City Councilor

·         Melanie Nevin, Choate Hall & Stewart

·         Rachael Rollins, Suffolk County District Attorney

·         Trevor Rozier-Byrd, State Street Corporation

·         Paige Scott Reed, Prince Lobel Tye LLP

Please RSVP on the BBA website herehttps://www.bostonbar.org/membership/events/event-details?ID=30204
