On Saturday, May 19th, 2018, MIRA (Massachusetts Immigration Rights & Refugee Advocacy Coalition), SABA GB (South Asian Bar Association of Greater Boston, MAHA (Massachusetts Association of Hispanic Attorneys), AALAM (Asian American Lawyer’s Association of Massachusetts.), and WeWork are co-sponsoring and hosting an Immigration Naturalization Drive to assist community members in applying for citizenship. The Drive is being held at WeWork, 745 Atlantic Avenue, Boston from 10am-4pm. U.S. Citizenship is the path to fully participating in American life. It will allow people to vote, freely travel, protect themselves and family members from the risk of deportation, hold a wider range of jobs, petition to unite with other family members, and run for public office. Volunteer Attorneys and Law Students are needed to staff the event - please note that non-immigration attorneys are warmly welcomed as well. Time commitment on the day of is 9:30am - 4pm (breakfast provided), and volunteers must complete an in-person or online training the week prior.
