The Boston Bar Association (BBA) seeks a professional, driven, and highly organized individual to work with scores of volunteers on a wide range of challenging projects relating to the legal profession. This position will manage the work of the Sections and Forums and other professional development initiatives and programs to meet the strategic objectives of the BBA and its members.
Manages the work of the Sections and Forums to produce high-quality programs and products that meet the strategic objectives of the BBA and the professional needs of its members.
Manages the CLE program, the Practicing with Professionalism Program and other professional development initiatives and programs and their budgets.
Serves as primary staff contact with Sections, Forums and other member groups and committees to provide guidance and operational oversight and to facilitate communication with BBA/F staff, other volunteer member groups and leadership as appropriate.
Oversees Section, Forum and Committee leadership training, orientation and recognition.
Oversees the promotion of Section, Forum and Committee programs that ensure that marketing is accurate, appropriate and oriented to the intended audience and is consistent with BBA policy and standards.
Coordinates remote learning opportunities, including Learn On-Line, and production and distribution of digital materials and webinars.
Tracks and reports on key metrics on the performance of volunteer initiatives, include.
Provide operational oversight to Conference Advisory Committees and other planning committees on developing the content for major Industry and Section Conferences.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: J.D. preferred or 3-5 years of prior experience in a legal setting Bachelor’s degree required Supervisory experience preferred Experience working with volunteers and/or coordinating a team Experience in professional development/continuing education preferred Marketing experience a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills required Experience with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required Possess ability to think strategically to advance organizational objectives
